Donald B. Young Sr., 77, of West Deer Township, died Monday morning, April 12, 2010, at Alle-Kiski Medical Center. Born May 4, 1932, in Verona, he was a son of the late Bert and Eunice (Curran) Young . He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Catherine (Bowser) Young ; and is the loving father of Timothy J. Young , of Verona, Donald B. Young Jr., of New Kensington, and Cheryl Ann McCorkle, of New Kensington. Donald is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Audrey Hogan. He was a former member of Oakmont Presbyterian Church and a Korean Army veteran. Friends and family will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the BURKET-TRUBY FUNERAL HOME CREMATION & ALTERNATIVE SERVICES, INC. 421 Allegheny Ave. Oakmont. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Verona Cemetery, Oakmont.
