|Mrs. Laura Kerr Stewart, wife of Dr. G.L. Stewart, died Friday night, August 31, 1951, at 11:00 o'clock in the home. Death followed a long-time illness.|
Mrs. Stewart was aged 75 years, seven months and four days, having been born January 27, 1976 in Cowanshannock township, a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Margaret (Daugherty) Ambrose.
Her church membership was with the Rural Valley Presbyterian church.
Surviving are her husband; one son, Lieut. Dr. Craig A. Stewart C.M.D.S. stationed with the U.S. Navy at Bremerton, Wash., Miss Maxine Stewart, at home, and Mrs. Kirtland (Mabel) Snyder, Rural Valley; one grandchild; two brothers, Benjamin F. Ambrose, Rural Valley and James G. Ambrose, New Kensington.
Friends are being received in the late home where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Walter Kennedy, pastor of the Templeton and Goheenville Presbyterian churches and Rev. J. Maurice Leister of the Rural Valley Presbyterian church officiating. Burial will be made in Rural Valley cemetery.
The Boyer funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
